This Commander Black (Japanese: ブラック指令, Burakku Shirei) is a main character in Kaiju Girls Black.

She is the leader of the Black Stars, a self-proclaimed villainous group composing of herself, Nova, Silver Bloome and a newcomer, Satsuki Hiraga.

Biography

Appearance

Commander Black's design in this continuity was slightly changed from her main design within the Humanization Project. The ribbon on her head was changed from black to red and more notably, her skin color has been changed from pure white to the more typical light peach used for anime characters. However, during times when Satsuki's Dark Zone is active, her skin color is changed into pure white.

Personality

Commander Black is over-confident and reckless. As pointed out by Satsuki, her plans for conquering the earth are usually unrealistic and are often a result of her jumping into conclusions when deciding what her precognition abilities are supposed to mean. Due to a combination of her carelessness and bad luck, she is often the only one within Black Stars who receives the bad end of things when her plans goes awry.

Nonetheless, she is very positive. She's also cares about her underlings as well.

Background

While how her ability as a kaiju girl was awoken as well as her past prior to the movie are unknown, the flashback scene showing an un-transformed Black being drunk and asleep on a pile of garbage shows that Black has always been rather reckless about her actions.

Abilities

As a kaiju girl, Commander Black has a numbers of superpowers including precognition, hypnosis and possibly more. Her most arguably useful ability, hypnosis, can't be used without affecting herself while her precognition only works while she is asleep. This is likely the reason why she doesn't use her own abilities much.
